The wind blew softly through the hills of EarthPack Territory. A young dust colored wolf sat atop his underground den and seemed lost in the stars. The full moon accented his features as he stood as stone, looking up into the navy night sky.
"Alpha Ishino (stone)?"
"Yes," he responded, still unmoving, "What is it, Sabi (rust). Where is the rest of the group?"
"I, uh, I'm afraid I have some bad news..." said Sabi nervously, shifting on her paws.
"Tell me then, Zeta."
"Th-the others and I got hit by a FirePack squad patroling the border."
"What?" the Alpha snapped his head toward the younger wolf.
"T-they sent me back t-to ask for reinforcements!" Sabi said in a hurried ruff. Ishino's eyes grew softer on the Zeta, yet his angry aura did not change. He growled with annoyance.
"Kaede (maple)!"
"Sir!" barked out the Beta.
"Take some Delta's to aid your packmates!" he ordered. When Kaede dashed off to the Delta's den, Ishino looked to Sabi. "Lead them to the battle. This has to stop."
Sabi nodded before following her packmates out of the realm.
"Let's go!" Sabi rushed the Delta's, stressing the fact that some-wolf might have been injured. A few paces behind, a fluffy Grey wolf tried to keep up with the Beta.
"Ugh!" she snuffed, "This is so annoying! Why can't those FirePack wolves just respect our territory!?" Kaede purred with amusement. "I wonder if this border war is ever gonna end..."
"Everything is so troublesome to you, Koemi (smile)..." a tan-colored Mexican wolf grunted.
"Oh yeah?" countered the grey, "What bothers you then?"
"Hmph... dogs..." replied the Mexican.
"You newbies," smirked Kaede.
"Hey-"
"We're here," announced the Mexican, cutting Koemi off.
"I wish you would shuddup sometime, Cudou..." she muttered. The other Deltas and the Zeta stayed where they were while Kaede loped toward the tussle and howled. Almost immediately, every-wolf stopped.
"What in the name of Paradise is going on here!?" he growled, raising his tail into the air.
"Kaede!" the EarthPack squad paid respect to the high-ranking Beta. "We can explain!" piped one. Kaede turned to him.
"Then you will take it up to the Alpha! In fact," he then stepped closer to the hostile FirePack wolves, "If any you have a good reason why you are attacking my pack, tell your Alpha so they can fight, and they can work it out! Now get back on your territory!"
"And why should we!?" barked one,"This forest belongs to FirePack!"
Howls and barks of agreement broke out among the lava colored wolves. "Silence! Who is your leader?" the Beta demanded. A dusty-furred Red male stepped forward shamelessly.
"I am."
"Chikara...(power)" Kaede grunted with disgust, but nonetheless bowed his head to the legendary wolf who was practically a god.
"Ah, yes, Beta Kaede," Chikara smirked. The said wolf shifted with discomfort. "How are things in the EarthPack territory?"
"..." Kaede kept his head and tail down in forced respect, "Sir Chikara, I am going to ask you to leave our territory."
"Hmm," Chikara took a few dainty steps forward, playing with the Beta, "Suppose I have caused enough trouble tonight." He flicked his tail, and his Deltas retreated. Kaede gave a look to his comrades, telling them to back off as well.
"Fine," the dusty Red Wolf continued in the most annoyed voice possible, "If it make you happy I might as well take this matter up with your young Alpha. Good-night, puppies, we shall meet again."
"Uh-" Before Kaede could ask what exactly the matter was, Chikara disappeared.
"Stupid Chikara..." chuffed a voice from behind. Kaede turned to her.
"Koemi," he said calmly, "Chikara is many things, but he's not stupid." The juvinile Grey scoffed.
"Whatever, Beta Kaede. Let's go home and tell Alpha Ishino." With that, Kaede led the squads back to their realm.
