I wish the forums were a bit improved....

I wish the forums were a bit improved on Queeky, as well as commenting on pictures. More social functions would be great. I want to get to know the community members more. As it is now, there are multiple logons and stuff.

The RSS is very well implemented! please don't change it.

I kinda wish the Queeky banner that attaches to finished artwork were smaller or removable. I understand the need for it, but sometimes I think it mars the artwork.

I like how Queeky gives me a gallery with a unique URL. Thats great.
I love how Queeky hosts my drawings, so I can link them on my blog.
I love the interface. I have one wish-list: a 2nd layer and the ability to promote and merge things to the new layer. So you can draw on layer 1, then merge it all onto the back layer.. then clear the top layer and draw more transparently on top. then merge it all back down.

It would really help. Especially with outlining. But the Queeky tool is very cool like it is, and the limitations it provides actually inspire my creativity so I guess it would be fine leaving it as it is.

ok, well if I think of some more I will let you know....

@pseckler

Hi,
Thanx a lot for your feedback.
I thought of some layers for the drawing tool too!
I understand your critics about the bannen on finished artworks. I will try to place it below the arwork, so there will be no distortion any more. This is noticed ;)
Do you have some special ideas for social tools?

Greetings, ph

One thing that might be good is an even more detailed profile page.. almost like a web page..where you could post more pictures, and interests, and so on.

I would also like one-click access to add friends.

Anyhow, I love Queeky.

Oh, and I wondered: I cannot see the ratings of my pictures unless they are in the RSS feed. So I actually have to go to where my feed is displayed to see my ratings. Could that be fixed easily?

On the one hand, I guess it does take the pressure off of how a person is rated, and users aren't influenced by what a picture has been rated already. I'm happy when I get 8s and 7s though. Maybe make it so that only the picture artist can see the ratings?

Well thats my thought.

Keep up the good work!

Queeky is great!

I've played iSketch for years, and just discovered Queeky, and think the drawing tool is great. It's probably the best flash drawing application i've seen.

I agree that an extra layer for the outline would be great.

I've found some keyboard shortcuts for the drawing tool, but a complete list would be great. I dont know how many shortcuts i missed but what i would like is:

The ability to make the current line color lighter or darker with up/down arrows would help. A shortcut for the line color eyedropper tool would be amazing too. Maybe using the numberes 1-10 to select line width. This would make drawing a lot faster.

When i browse a category, would it be possible go get a to select how to sort the category - by recent/upcoming/ratings/viewed. And maybe show the rating below the number of views.

Just my wishes - as i said, i already think this is great.

where should it go...

Layers would be great. Have you folks ever used Open Canvas? It's a sort of like Queeky, but with layers and it's a PC only. It connects users through their IP addresses instead of being web-based.

I love what you folks are doing here. Keep up the exciting progress.

Layers and possibly a smudge or blur tool...

I agree with many of the suggestions here. There is a complete list of the shortcuts under the canvas when you are using the drawing tool. There are many, many shortcuts and they are very helpful. I have printed them out so I have them on hand when I am drawing and I don't have to keep scrolling down when I am on my canvas drawing and I found that very helpful.

Really I think the Layers option would be awesome, and a blur/smudge tool would also be very helpful. As far as everything else here at Queeky I couldn't think of another idea that would make it any better. I like the way the rating is, and if you share your picture you can always download it without the Queeky logo on it and if you didn't want to keep it shared it can easily be changed back.

This site has come such a long way since I have started drawing here it is amazing. I find things everyday that I never knew I could do here. It is like waking up to Christmas morning every time I draw.

One thing though...lately I find I have to log in almost every time I comment or change pages. It can be a little frustrating when I am trying to view and rate other peoples pictures. Also in the multidraw I tend to get logged out a lot, even if continually draw and don't leave the computer even for a minute. Those things are not enough to detour my wanting to draw here, just thought I'd mention them.

Thanks Phil for all of your hard work. This is an incredible art/drawing site and it only keeps getting better!

I have met so many wonderful people here! I really love this place and everything about it. Feel free to add me as a friend, one can never have too many!
