New autosave feature!

We are proud to present our latest autosave feature for QueekyPaint!
Since today all strokes created in QueekyPaint will be immediately saved to your computer.
This means that the drawing you are currently working on is safe to every time, even when you draw without an internet connection.
Every time you open QueekyPaint, your current work will appear. No need to sign in, you don't event need an account on Queeky.
Finally when you're done with your latest masterpiece, use the save-button to save it to your online gallery as usual.

In QueekyPaint, you can enable/disable the autosave feature. Default the feature is disabled.
When autosave is disabled, and you just want to save quick and continue with your work later, you can temporary save your strokes by clicking on the "Autosave disabled" button. Use the checkbox on the left to enable autosave for every stroke Smile

If you want to use the autosave feature, you need to allow QueekyPaint to store data on your local computer.

To start over and create a new document (from an autosaved version), simply click on the trashcan-icon in QueekyPaint.

I am looking forward for your questions, feedback and suggestions for this new feature.

same prob with layers as above

I realize the above posts are old, however, I am having the same problem. If I delete a layer that only contains a small tidbit that I decide is unnecessary I have had numerous times where everything I did in edit to that point is lost... in other words I open an unpublished work, start working for a while then delete one small layer or a layer that is empty like marilens said and wa la, all data done on all layers disappears. Very sad... I am sure those were the ones that would have made me a super star in painting LOL!!

Forgive the picture, but embrace the creation.

Hm, sorry but I can't

Hm, sorry but I can't replicate this. Tried to " open an unpublished work, start working for a while then delete one small layer or a layer that is empty" and nothing happened. What is the id of the picture you wanted to edit?

what do you mean when you say it automatically is saved

on to the computer. I just lost everything it seems. I clicked the autosave, my internet connection broke and I come back to it and everything is gone.... Very sad. I tried looking for it on my computer but all it gives me is number jumble stuff..

I've tried this feature before and just left the page.. but when I came back to it, the pic was gone.

layers

while drawing and adding layers I will sometimes check one of the boxes (layers) below to look at something I had already drawn but if I then decide to delete the most recent layer I had added and was working on because I don't need it I go to delete and click on it without looking first to see which box is checked. I have done this a couple of times and lost everything I had done in a lower layer (which ever box is checked). Just carelessness on my part forgetting to re-check the latest box I am working on and since deleting will delete which ever box is checked I end up losing major work.

I usually do this when I am tired and ready to quit so I end up doing a couple of things in a row and forget to check the top box (layer) I was working on.

I was being silly when I said if you could figure out how to stop me from doing this it would be a miracle. I need to be more careful before deleting anything and double check what I am doing when I am tired. Yes it does ask you if you want to delete but at the time I think I am deleting the correct box...Just a senior Moment LOL...

Usually the box I think I am deleting will have data I don't want to keep but since I accidentally delete the wrong box I end up with losing major data instead of the data I didn't want to keep. I hope that all makes sense...Smile

auto save

This is a great new feature, thank you for constantly improving Queeky...

Now if you can figure out a way to stop me from deleting an empty layer box when a different box is checked and losing all of the work I had just done that would be a miracle ha ha. I have done this a couple of times, you'd think I'd learn to look at which box is checked before doing anything but I will chock it up to just being tired which is when we make most mistakes. Aarrrgggg. I will think of it as practice lol.

layers

hm, I dont really get your problem.

if a layer contains data, QueekyPaint will ask you if you really want to delete it.

what do you mean with deleting empty layers?
