I might as well say exactly what book - it's "Lord of the Far Island" by Victoria Holt(aka Eleanor Hibbert)one of my favorite authors.
I tried an impressionistic style which you do so beautifully! So I'm sure you can do it better than me.

GREAT STYLE AND COLORS...I'M READING KEN FOLLET "WORLD WITHOUT END" AND WISH TO BE ABLE TO PUT SOME OF THE BUILDING MID AGES STYLE FROM THAT PERIOD.MAY BE, YOU'D DO A BETTER JOB...ARE YOU READING SOME OF THOSE EPIC STORIES?

What a coincidence! I've been waiting for Pillars of the Earth to be available at my library and just made a reservation! I like epics, thrillers, historicals, romance, etc...whatever mood I'm in...or I close my eyes and randomly pick one from the shelves! I get lucky sometimes and get a really good author!

I absolutely recommend Pillars of the World and its continuation: World without end. Just wonderful,more than wonderful. I read a lot, usually I have 2 or 3 books at the time and read them in different time of the day, according to mood like you..Not every day lately, but my son gave me for Christmas a digital reader, wow..so small ,easy to handle ,so many books to be downloaded for free..I already have about 2.000 books between Cairo and Milan, I donate so many,and keeping the dearest one for me, but no more space..lol..and found this new device fantastic...Reading is what gave me much of the fantasy I express in my drawings..
