Concept 1.jpg ← a people drawing by Hetyife by hetyife Concept 1.jpgI know, Tron much? Believe it or not I drew this at least two years ago, before I had even seen the original Tron, never mind Tron:Legacy. I was basing it more on Alex Summers (aka, Havok) from the X-men comics.
I'm happy with her face but the costume is pretty half-assed. All I really wanted to show were the glowing blue strips and I did so I couldn't be bothered to make it look better. Maybe one day I'll go back and improve it...

Fine line art....
and great lighting. I keep watching your playbacks and just can't figure them out. If you don't mind me asking...what layer do you start on? I know the playbacks don't always start the way the drawings are made from start to finish. I love the textures that show the paper grain, and your line art is so fine and perfect.

I don't mind you asking at all
I have to do these the hard way because I don't have a tablet so rather than draw straight onto Queeky I scan in pencil drawings that I've done and digitally colour them here. Usually I start with the back layer which is usually a fill colour for the background to give me something to help gauge the skin tones. From there I generally work forwards, in this case I think the hair was the last thing did. However, on the playback, the original pencil drawing (the first thing I did) will show up last because that is the top layer. Hope that answers you question and thanks for the comment

like the line art,too. The costume is not so bad, just need some fine tone on its shading to stand out her figure... I'm sure it will look great after your improvement.
