A view of the Angus Glens (based on a photograph sent to me). Typical drystane dykes, three strand wire and post fencing inside the broken down dyke a valley farm and forests on the surrounding hills.

... if you knew how long I have been trying to paint a dry stane dyke you would know how much your comment means to me ... and especially because this time I didn't try it happened right in front of me (a watercolourists dream?)

... we have had a few weeks of lots of rain ... but in this agricultural landscape it has fallen at the right time and stopped now the combine harvesters are out ...
