She walked in the city park, pondering about life. It was autumn. The trees were aflame with wondrous reds, oranges, and yellows. She sighed and marveled at the beauty of the world. She sighed and felt downcast because she had to return soon. She sat on a bench and smiled as the light fall breeze made an old leaf brush against her face.
"Hello there," he said, "How are you?"
A curious cat watched from under a nearby chair as an excited-looking woman placed a rather large object covered by a white cloth on a hook and chain that hung from the ceiling of the household. She happily unveiled it and cooed to the creature inside. The cat's eyes widened and his tail tip twitched with interest.

The wind blew softly through the hills of EarthPack Territory. A young dust colored wolf sat atop his underground den and seemed lost in the stars. The full moon accented his features as he stood as stone, looking up into the navy night sky.
"Alpha Ishino?"
"Yes," he responded, still unmoving, "What is it, Sabi. Where is the rest of the group?"
"I, uh, I'm afraid I have some bad news..." said Sabi nervously, shifting on her paws.
"Tell me then."
"Th-the others and I got hit by a FirePack squad patrolling the border."

Tymbu yawned as the day broke. "Well, good morning, sleepyhead," Kerra said. Tymbu stayed quiet and eyed her half eaten, freshly killed rabbit. "I left the rest untouched for you," she said sweetly.
"Uh, thanks." Tymbu ate halfheartedly. Though he was not surprised at the kind gesture, he still found himself uneasy when he was with the she-wolf. After eating he went out of the small, well hidden den.

Tymbu dashed away when his father gave him a mindless, cold look. When he had gotten as far as the Snow Mountain he stopped whimpering and panting. His mother was dead, and his father would eventually die of madness or some wolf would kill him for having it. "What am I going to do now?" he sobbed.
