Dennō Coil? Is a good animation too, the idea is cool. You must take a look, is one of the best in 2007. Highly recommended!!!
Yes, I'm an Ex-3D animator on commercial field. I had not study any course before... Of course some studying is always the best, but even you had no background, you can still learn it in your own way; like I did before... So, if you really fascinated on this field, still, you can make your dream come true. Try different type of ways to do your animation and sent them to some competition. It's more easy to make an animation now, and thousand way to expose them, compare with the period I did in the old days. I think the main issue is time and laziness, which is really hard to defeat.
Anyway, don't give up easily, wish your dream came true, many blessing
I'll have to see if I can find "Dennō Coil" and add it to my list of things to check out. After reading a bit about it on wikipedia, it sounds pretty awesome.
It seems like all the same things that make creating and disseminating your own animation easier (computers, software and the internet) are also the same things that can make it seem impossible for someone as flight-minded as myself to accomplish anything. The endless supply of distractions, not to mention seeing other work that seems so advanced beyond anything I've ever attempted all the time can make anyone self-conscious. But don't mind my excuses, I fall into slumps easily and the only solution is to keep trying.
As they say, all the talent in the world won't do you any good if you can't work hard.
Thanks for the pleasant comments, as always!

You can see Great motion in the animation. The content may not suitable for all, but it's a good reference for those who love animation. The design is cool and the cut is cool. Enadiate, the character with a large eye brown and the TV head robot is one of my favourite.
Drawing is about studying yourself and your target.
FLCL is probably my favorite animation of all time, it's just incredible. It led me to look at more of Gainax and Production I.G.'s other work and as a whole gave me a greater appreciation for anime. Cartooning is a dream of mine, though I've only animated a few small or simple sequences, and all of my people animations were rotoscoped. Moonlighting as an animator is hard, and I'm not in school for it either.
Are you experienced in animation, pppman? With your level of skill, I wouldn't be surprised to hear you work for an animation studio!

You won't be sorry
It IS a very interesting series.
At least, you are telling yourself to try, that a one step forward.
Dream is something you needed to execute, or we shall just call that wishes...
You are always welcome, my friend.
