the more I think this may be one of my favorite pieces in quite a while. I can't stop coming back to look at it. Do you mind telling me about how long it took? I love the way you did the wood and the grain and the branches in the background are done very stylish and natural looking as well. Until I watched the playback I really couldn't tell which brushes you used but they worked together perfectly for such a realistic effect.
Thank you Kutedymples. I picked a monarch because they are gorgeous and they fly around 3000 miles to California and Mexico. There are different colored monarchs: beige through orange and rust. This one matched the colors in the tree bark. The next spring they fly back to lay eggs! The background took about 2 hours and the butterfly took another 2 hours approximately.
Awesome. I like the pine branches in the background, and the butterfly looks so pretty <3
