“why the rabbit?understand that culture is, but Ive never understood the foreign definition of Easter u,u why a bunny with chocolate eggs? I thought it was about jesus, or is a Jewish celebration?in my country (mostly Catholic) eat special food for these dates...choales, lentejas, capirotada, torrejas con miel de maguey, pescado, paella etc.etc. without red food, Lent. my family has never been very religious, but AH! eat all these delicious meals........and the city are several theatrical performances of crucifixion..........right now, there is a culture festival in my city, and I will participate! in madonnari. I don't know for certain, but I think the Easter Bunny stories were invented to counter the darkness of the Middle Ages, as that's when they surfaced. So many people were dying of the Plague then,...so they just added the bunny story to the Christ cycle of stories for the kids who had lost so many of their loved ones and maybe couldn't hold any more stories of death...it helped them to transcend and laugh again
