I am really lucky I regularly work with the Shaunas and Tinas in my area, as well as older people with dementia and those with other long term conditions. I am delivering a Telecare Strategy and Assistive Technologies can offer a high level of independent living for many people.

What I get most out of my job is the challenges of finding solutions and the opportunities to help people have the more independent lifestyle they often crave ... sounds like a cliche, but it really is the best feeling in the world; as you say Susie very rewarding and a privilege to get to know some wonderful people who society often marginalises or overlooks.

Yes, Shauna is a very happy girl. She loves Hello Kitty and I wanted to try to incorporate that into the portrait but I just didn't know how. I got an email from Tina yesterday and she is pleased with the portrait, she has thanked me a hundred times and she told me she loves it. I am happy now! Thank you everyone for your comments on this, although it was extremely hard to draw Shauna because of her condition and it's just plain sad what some people have to endure in life it has been very rewarding that I did complete this.
