I see great water reflections with the dark greens and blues. I see different types of foliage in the light greens including palm leaves.The brown I see embedded in the light green the texture would make for some great tree bark or even rocks yes there are plenty different textures you can experiment with I hope this helps
CHR--no pressure! Yikes. I didn't like the original pic and so came up with this idea with the thought that I would either hate it and delete it or it might work--it surprised me and now I am wondering how to refine it for another painting--any ideas?

i think it is beautiful and the reflection on the water is pretty i love the texture too
