“I have finished this many times but it refuses to save completed, for some reason it will only save at this stage so I guess this will have to do. ;)”
A fantastic portrait... you have captured age so well in this old mans face...his expression shows the experiences of life, good and bad happy and sad, wonderful details and super work as always Marilyn.
GREAT WORK, Marilyn! Interesting your splits from the age of a little curious girl about the taste of the life to this old man, with his deep experience of life. I am not so sure if the wisdom does come really with the age, I have some doubts...but I have no doubts about your portrait. The colour you've chosen , this almost copper colour is very fitting to a man who saw many things in his life. He seems to be disappointed about it,his eyes have lost the flame of curiosity, a sad portrait of the age. I hope for me and for my friends too we will not lose our curiosity!
I know your frustration as I have had that happen many times as well, but really... this work does not need to go further. It stands beautifully as it is. Lovely expression.

Wisdom
doesn't always come with age. Sometimes age shows up all by itself. Very expressive painting. faved

Forgive the picture, but embrace the creation.
